May can be a month of change
May has been a blur for myself and many others. For those of us with children (even adult children), the month of May can mean school is ending for the year or even for good. Emotionally this can be exhausting and during times of emotional exhaustion it is best to take time for yourself to find balance again. For my youngest the month came to a close with graduation from college and the start of a new career. She has grown so much over the past four years and has had adventures that I am grateful for. Now her life will get busy with adulting and making a life in the eastern part of the US. She has already found balance with living life and I hope she continues to sustain it as she starts her management career - otherwise she will burn out fast. For me this is another step to having that empty nest (although it has been empty for four years). I also made a huge decision to push myself with officially starting my own healing business (Reiki, Angel Card readings and Life Coach services) this year which I am happy to say has officially launched with a fresh website and Facebook page. I am proud of myself an hope to grow the business into a sustainable future for myself but to be honest it is a little scary as is all change.
I suppose that May is more like the month of endings and new beginnings or a month of changes. Changes can make people uneasy and emotional but they can also help people grow. Change can come in the form of a job loss or new job, a new home, the end of school, and so many other things but each change can be part of a bigger picture too. Perhaps the picture is to help you grow or perhaps it is a lesson that you need. Regardless change is something to embrace and not be afraid of. Ask yourself, what scares you about this change?
